Trauma Is Treatable And You don’t Have to Hold it Alone.
COMPASSIONATE SUPPORT
for WOMEN with TRAUMA
Living with Trauma and PTSD can be overwhelming. Flashbacks, nightmares and hyper-vigilance can take over, leaving you feeling in a constant state of threat and compelled to avoid things that used to make you happy. But there is hope - and you’re not alone.
HELLO, I’m BIANCA (she/her)
I’m a BABCP accredited therapist specialising in helping women with emotional and psychological trauma, stress and depression through face to face, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Schema Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and EMDR.
I understand how isolating it can be to live in a state of constant threat, feeling jumpy and on edge and worried you are losing your mind. Or overwhelmed by feelings of shame and guilt that you feel you need to keep hidden. But together, we can start to lift that weight.
My mission is simple: to help you integrate your trauma, so it feels contained in the past, just a part of your whole, and you can move forward in your life with meaning, vitality and purpose in what matters to you.
WHAT is TRAUMA?
Trauma is much more common than people believe. In fact, 70% of adults have experienced some form of trauma and it often goes untreated or simply ignored. Traumatic experiences are not always obvious, extending beyond events like assault or disasters. They can emerge from single or multiple events over time, and can be difficult to identify.
Trauma can result from:
Physical, sexual or emotional abuse
Emotionally unstable parenting
Domestic violence
Accidents, war, crime and illness
Emotional or physical neglect, and more.
Here are some signs of trauma:
Intrusive memories or flashbacks of traumatic events that disrupt daily life.
Persistent feelings of fear, anxiety or hypervigilance, even in safe situations
Avoidance of people, places or activities
Insomnia, nightmares or other sleep disturbances
Hypersensitivity to stimuli or sudden outbursts of anger or irritability
Feeling disconnected from yourself or others, or struggling to trust others
Feeling detached from yourself or your surroundings, as if you’re watching things happen from outside your body.
Difficulty regulating emotions or experiencing intense mood swings
Physical symptoms such as headaches, stomachaches, muscle tension, digestive tract issues and chronic pain without a clear medical cause.
Trauma Is Treatable And You don’t Have to Hold it Alone
Acknowledging trauma and reaching out for help is a courageous step towards
reclaiming your well-being and building a brighter future.
HOW I CAN help YOU
Trauma and PTSD can feel all-consuming, but it doesn’t have to define your life. My approach is grounded in individually tailored, evidence-based treatments including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), that I offer face to face.
Schema Therapy can help shift long-standing patterns of thinking, feeling and coping that have developed from prolonged trauma and may now no longer serve you. It is focused on healing self-image, managing emotions and improving relationships.
Additionally, I incorporate skills from my training in Dr Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry which is grounded in compassion, mind-body awareness and nervous system regulation.
My work is rooted in my therapeutic values of presence, safety and experiential techniques, to help you access and process emotions deeply, often achieving insight and healing that talk alone can’t reach.
Together we will work to integrate your trauma so you can take back control and reclaim a meaningful, connected and vibrant life. From surviving to thriving!
What my Clients Say
“It’s been helpful beyond what I can express with words. I am very grateful for my therapy with Bianca. She was professional and very empathetic, which made it easy for me to completely open up and share the difficulties I have been afraid to share with others. She was always very attentive to my needs and wants, and provided the right information to help me to make decisions that were best for me.”
